The Team
Karen Gund Johnston and Gary "Stich" Faulstich organized a mini-reunion which was held in early March of this year in Phoenix. Several of us from California drove or flew over. It was expanded from a lunch get-together into a multi-day series of events, including some spring training baseball games, a trip to the Musical Instrument Museum and a Golf Outing, as well as several opportunities to dine together.

Susan Felt Osborn wrote up the activities this way:
The CMHS mini-reunion, March 8-10, in Phoenix was really fun thanks to Karen (Gund) and Stich and his wife Sandi. Friday night we had an evening of friendship, fun, and food at Karen's house. She fixed a delicious soup and salad.
Saturday one group went to the museum that Dan mentioned, and our group went to the preseason Angels versus Rockies baseball game. My husband and I sat on the Angels side (we are avid fans), and John and his wife and Lou and Karen sat on the Rockies side. The game was exciting and went back and forth, with many runs making it exciting. In the bottom of the ninth, the Rockies once again took the lead to win the game.
Saturday night we had 14 at a Kansas City barbecue restaurant—more delicious food. Sunday we had brunch at Stich’s favorite haunt, and then eight of us who were left played miniature golf: girls against the boys. But with Lou being somewhat of a pro and Stich with a four handicap for miniature golf, us girls decided on new rules. We took the score for whichever one of us was the lowest for each hole and ended up with a 46. Lou and Stich tied at 47, so we declared the girls winners! Afterwards we went to Stich and Sandi's for homemade lemonade and snacks.
It really was a fun weekend, and we have vowed to do it again next year in March. We hope many more of you will be able to join us then.
Fondly,
Susan Feldt Osborn
