Biography for
Carl Christensen

After graduation from CMHS, I attended CSU and received my BS and MS in physiology. In 1965 I met and married my wife, Kathleen and in 1967 we had a son, Pedar. I received my PhD in physiology from Tulane University, and I spent 3 years at the VA hospital in New Orleans. We then moved to Milwaukee WI, and I did research and teaching at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin medical school. After 32 years of research and teaching, I retired to open a golf business which I sold, and then move to Austin, TX. The best part of our lives is spending time with our grandson, Henry who lives a short distance from our home.  I am presently a Professor of Biology teaching anatomy and physiology at Austin Community College where I have taught for the past 9 years. We spend part of our summer at our home (Henry’s Cabin) in Pagosa Springs, CO and look forward to retiring sometime within the next 3 years.
